Special Effects Gun Shot Squibs
All of our Special Effects Gunshot Bullet Wound Squibs are of the Highly Visual Type that will read on film and provide a very graphic look to the gun shot, these squibs are safe to use on lead actors.
Taipan Special Effects uses imported American made Squibs for all productions.
On Set Safety - Special Effects & Armoury
Taipan Special Effects offers 36 years of Special Effects and Armoury Experience. We operate with extremely high safety standards. Kevin Chisnall was one of the original pioneers of The New Zealand Film Industry's Safety Code of Practice.
Here in South East Asia we have advised film productions on Safety Standards for Armoury and Special Effects and insist that proper protection is provided and that the correct procedures are followed to protect the Cast and Crew.
If you are considering Thailand or South East Asia for your next film project please do not hesitate to contact us for an accurate estimate of your special effects and armoury costs.
From our base in Bangkok, Thailand - Taipan Special Effects provides a wide range of special effects - Gun Shot Squibs, Bullet Hits, Fire, Smoke, Rain, Explosions, Pyrotechnic and mechanical effects.
Taipan Special Effects has a large armoury of prop and blank firing movie guns, to suit your production requirements from 17th century muskets to the very latest state of the art machineguns and assault weapons.
WARNING
When organising armory for your project in Thailand be careful on your choice of armourers. Some armourers offer up stage pistols and sub machine guns, most look real and when fired they may make a bang and a small flash which looks ok to the naked eye but when you view your rushes you may be very disappointed with very small flashes, inconsistent gun flashes or none at all.
These blank firing weapons were designed as stage pistols and to get a good flash on film or tape professional armourers use real weapons specially modified to accept the correct motion picture blank ammunition that produces a satisfactory effect on screen.
