FILM SCRIPTS AVAILABLE FOR DEVELOPMENT
THAI GOLD
Living in Thailand Kevin Chisnall began searching for Thai stories that could be developed into movie scripts with a universal appeal.
After reading the novel “Thai Gold” Kevin met the author Jason Schoonover who could be described as “A real life Indiana Jones” www.jasonschoonover.com
Jason and Kevin have written a script together based on Jason’s novel Thai Gold.
WHAT THE REVIEWERS SAY ABOUT THAI GOLD
"This is the adventure Indiana Jones should have been. After reading this book I couldn’t help think what a perfect movie this would make. It’s like a swashbuckling Indiana Jones on steroids, but much more believable.
The main character is one that any man could identify with, he has the same weaknesses that most men have (but won’t admit to) especially when it comes to beautiful women. This guy finds himself caught up in an international conspiracy and gets in over his head before he realizes he’s in too deep to get out. He’s got to ride it through to the end whether he likes it or not. Along the way I got totally sucked into the story, from the crowded, bustling exhaust filled streets of Bangkok, the non-stop exotic night life to the steamy jungle mountains of the golden triangle region. This is the definitive primer to South East Asia. You must read this book”.
Customer Review - Books by Chance
“Jason Schoonover is a major writer on the South East Asian scene”
Bangkok Post
“My kind of stuff, adventure, asian intrigue, raw non-stop excitement, plots that knock your socks off”.
M. Montgomery Warner- The Colombia Star .com
“A fast paced Robert Ludham meets Steven Spielberg romp”
Edmonton Journal
“One wonders why this book has not been made into a screenplay”
Lang Reid - Pattaya Mail
“In my review of his previous book Thai Gold, I said that it should be made into a movie. The movie moguls should also snap up Opium Dream for the sequel”.

FALCON
Kevin Chisnall has long been intrigued with the true life story of Constantine Phaulken (the Greek name for Falcon) a 17th century adventurer whose amazing life lead him from cabin boy to cannoneer and on to becoming the second most powerful man in 17th century Siam (present day Thailand). Falcon is a fascinating rags to riches story crying out to be made into a exotic epic movie.
Veteran English writer John Hoskin, a long time Thailand resident and author of the book Falcon: At The Court of Siam and Kevin Chisnall have written a screen play based on Falcons life. This screenplay has been revised in a recent draft by UK writer Peter Liney.
FROM A REVIEW OF JOHN HOSKINS BOOK - FALCON AT THE COURT OF SIAM
Constantine Phaulken, a famous Greek adventurer of the 17th century, who had a meteoric rise in King Narai’s Siam (former name of Thailand) and an equally dramatic end, seems to continue attracting the interests of historians and writers of various nationalities.
“Unlike many other writers Hoskins approach to Phaulken’s rise from an ordinary Greek man to King Narai’s favorite courtier achieves something original and different”.
By George Sioris
ON THE SUBJECT OF FALCON
“An amazingly resourceful character driven by ambition, he must inevitably attracted the attention of King Narai, eventually being taken into government service in 1680”
“In effect he was the second most important man in the land and never before nor since did a foreigner hold such an influential position in the Kingdom of Siam”, (present day Thailand).
George Sioris - Author of Phaulken - the Greek first Counselor at the Court of Siam and former Greek ambassador to Japan
Kevin Chisnall says “It’s a fascinating west meets east story with all the elements that make for a great movie - ambition, intrigue, romance, conflict and ultimate tragedy, all set midst the grandeur of 17th Century Siam”.
“Chisnall says he is well satisfied with the collaboration as Hoskin has 27 years experience of writing on Thai history and culture, which proved invaluable in ensuring authenticity and cultural sensitivity that he believed the script demanded.
